How are you coping with the Covid regulations?Clubs run from my home will be only 6 pupils. Those over the age of 11 (unless exempt) should wear a mask). I will not personally be wearing a mask as I am not required to and feel it is important to ensure the children's safety (following instruction clearly) and well being. Clubs run at your school will abide by the same rules as your school. As I work in a school every day I take a twice weekly Covid test.
-
Do you have insurance?Yes I have public liability insurance.
-
Do you have a DBS?I have DBS clearance from both the schools I currently work at.
-
Do I need to wait with my child whilst in the class? You can wait and you will have to wait in the same area as the class is running so will need to be very quiet to avoid class interuptions. If you do no wish to wait with your child (there is a small local cafe - open under only under covid regulations very close by) you will need to ensure that I have an emergency contact details and that you arrive promptly for collection.
-
How many are in a class?Clubs run from my home are no more than 6 pupils per class. After school clubs - run at your school - will have a maximum of 8 pupils per class.
-
Does my child need to have any sewing or crafting experience? No. It is helpful to know (via the Registration Form) if your child does have any experience, however, each child will be taught according to their individual abilities.
-
What materials are included in the price? All materials, threads, stuffing etc and use of equipment are included in the price. However, if you have a particular fabric or thread you would like to use I am happy for your child to bring that along. If you/your child has a specific request of fabric or thread I will do my best to facilitate their requirements. However, please do bear in mind that as my clubs use repurposed fabrics I may not always have the exact requirement. There is always plenty of choice though.
-
Will it only be hand sewing or will there be sewing machines? The majority will be hand sewing. However, once I know the children and their abilities there will be opportunities for one to one work on a sewing machine. This will only be if the child wants to use it.
-
How long is a class? Each class is 1 hour.
All you need to know before you book your club.
